Free Motorcylce Safety Courses

The Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program offers free training courses at this school. The MSP teaches riders of all skill levels the basic fundamentals needed to safely operate a motorcycle. Courses are free to Pennsylvania residents with a valid motorcycle permit or motorcycle license. Visit our website at www.pamsp.com to create a profile now. ShaleNet Training Available

GJCTC is offering a ShaleNET sponsored training program to prepare individuals as licensed commercial truck drivers for the gas industry. Anyone interested in this program should call 266-1300 for more information. Classes begin in January 2013 and March 2013.

GJCTC Municipal Police Academy Pre-Physical Fitness Testing

In order to register for the Johnstown Regional Police Academy, prospective cadets must take and pass a pre-physical fitness and reading test. A group test date has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center. GJCTC Now Offering A Child Development Associate (CDA) Class

This program is designed to prepare current child care employees obtain their Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification.  Areas of training include:  Planning a safe, healthy learning environment, Steps to advance children's physical and intellectual development, Positive ways to support children's social and emotional development, Strategies to establish productive relationships with families, Strategies to manage an effective program operation, Maintaining a commitment to professionalism, Observing and recording children's behavior, and Principles of child development and learning.
